WELL Certification (WELL Building Standard) is an internationally recognized building rating system focused on the health, comfort, and performance of building occupants. Developed by the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI), it assesses indoor environmental quality – air, water, light, acoustics, thermal comfort, materials, and support for mental health. WELL Certification complements other environmental building certifications such as LEED and BREEAM by adding the dimension of occupants’ health and well-being. The standard applies across different building types – from office buildings and public-sector projects to residential developments.
We provide consulting for all versions of the standard – WELL v1, WELL v2 pilot, WELL v2, WELL Core, and WELL at Scale – guiding you through the entire cycle from WELL Precertification, through certification itself, to the WELL Recertification required to keep the certificate valid. For residential projects and multifamily buildings, we also provide consulting under the WELL for Residential program.

WELL On-going Reporting
After achieving WELL Certification, IWBI requires regular annual ongoing reporting of data confirming that the building continues to meet the standard's requirements. This includes regular indoor environmental quality checks as well as reporting on the building's routine maintenance, at the frequency set out in the relevant credit requirements.
We provide a complete service – from regular measurements of air quality, water quality, and thermal comfort per the WELL PVGB methodology, through preparation and upload of ongoing data reports to WELL Online, to supporting building management and HR in documenting their respective parts of the annual reporting. This complete service ensures a smooth, hassle-free recertification process for the project.
WELL Ratings
Alongside WELL Building Standard certification, IWBI also administers separate WELL Ratings – assessments focused on a specific aspect of building or organizational operations, achievable without full certification.
We provide consulting across the full portfolio of WELL Ratings, including the WELL Performance Rating, focused on indoor environmental performance (air quality, water quality, lighting, acoustics and thermal comfort). The service we deliver most often for clients is the WELL Health-Safety Rating – an international rating focused on health, safety, and hygiene standards in building operations, which also serves as effective preparation for health epidemics and crisis situations – which our own offices hold as well.
