Fairmont Golden Hotel Prague
Challenge
Complete reconstruction of an iconic 1970s building on Prague’s Vltava riverbank, combining the preservation of its architectural and heritage value with the demanding technical, operational, and sustainability requirements of a modern five-star hotel and apartments.
Solution
BREEAM In-Use assessment support for the more than 30,000 m² property, helping integrate efficient and responsible building performance into its renewed operation. Key measures include a sophisticated heating system using waste heat and ground-source heat pumps, grey-water and rainwater recycling, smart lighting, and planted areas covering more than 40% of the site.
