Corporate Ecology

Corporate ecology is an end-to-end service covering environmental protection, OHS, fire protection and ADR - from advisory and audits to long-term outsourcing of the environmental manager, competent person or DGSA. We keep your operations compliant with national and EU legislation and minimize the risk of penalties.

Corporate ecology at Grinity means an end-to-end service covering environmental protection, OHS, fire protection and ADR services, including the related legislation – from expert advisory and audits to long-term outsourcing of the corporate environmental manager, the competent person for OHS and fire protection, or the dangerous goods safety adviser (DGSA). We help clients across industries keep their operations compliant with national and European legislation and minimize the risk of penalties for non-compliance. The scope of our cooperation always follows from the specific obligations that apply to the operation in question.

Legislation in this area evolves continuously, and the obligations of individual operations change as a company grows, alters its production program or expands capacity. We therefore treat the cooperation as an ongoing process rather than a one-off exercise. The setup of our services is reviewed regularly against the current state of the operation, the client's needs, and the legislation in force, so that processes make sense not only legally but also operationally and economically.

We take on the role of environmental consultant to whatever extent the client requires – from individual consultations and preparation of the required documentation to full management of the agenda, including communication with the authorities and ongoing oversight of statutory compliance. The company therefore does not need to build and maintain its own specialist capacity, yet keeps this area under expert supervision.

What we deliver in practice:

  • Waste management – we maintain your ongoing waste records, prepare the annual report on waste production (ISPOP) and draw up hazardous waste identification sheets (ILNO) as well as other mandatory documentation. We help you optimize your waste management and your overall waste strategy.
  • Water management – we set up and maintain the records used to monitor compliance with the limits set for your wastewater, prepare emergency plans, obtain the relevant permits from the water authority, prepare the mandatory annual reporting (ISPOP) and carry out or arrange the mandatory periodic inspections required when handling harmful substances.
  • Air protection – we classify your air pollution sources and obtain their operating permits, including obtaining expert opinions and preparing operating rules. We also maintain your operating records and mandatory reporting (ISPOP).
  • Chemical substances and mixtures – we compile records of the chemical substances and mixtures in use, review and complete safety data sheets, and set up correct labeling and storage in line with legislation. We also deliver the mandatory training for handling category 1 and 2 toxic substances.
  • End-of-life products – we arrange your enrollment in a take-back system and handle regular quarterly reporting to the system operator.
  • Packaging management (PPWR) – we set up records of packaging and packaged products placed on the market, arrange your participation in a system with an authorized packaging recovery organization and handle regular quarterly reporting.
  • Environmental damage – we carry out the baseline assessment of the risk of environmental damage for your operation, including preparation of the protocol for your record-keeping purposes.
  • Prevention of major accidents – we assess whether the obligations in this area apply to your operation and, where required, prepare the protocol on categorization of the establishment. We also handle communication with the relevant public authorities wherever documentation has to be submitted.
  • OHS – we set up and maintain OHS documentation, provide the mandatory employee training and prepare risk assessments for individual workplaces.
  • Fire protection – we prepare fire safety documentation and provide training for employees and for the responsible persons in accordance with fire protection regulations.
  • ADR – we provide the documentation and training required for personnel involved in the carriage of dangerous goods in your operation and, where needed, act as your dangerous goods safety adviser (DGSA).

In each of these areas, we take on both the administrative and technical burdens, so that the resulting solutions are not merely a formal fulfillment of the law but also make operational and economic sense.

Who corporate ecology is for:

  • Industrial, manufacturing and commercial entities whose operations affect individual environmental media and which therefore have to be managed in accordance with media-specific environmental legislation
  • Companies certified to ISO standards for environmental, OHS or energy management that need their management systems to be aligned with day-to-day operations
  • Companies with no in-house corporate environmental manager or competent person for OHS, fire protection or ADR, or that need this capacity reinforced or covered temporarily
  • Companies undergoing change – expanding operations, changing production or preparing for an acquisition – that want their processes set up sensibly and with the future in mind

Key benefits of working with us:

  • Operations compliant with national and European legislation on the environment, OHS, fire protection and ADR
  • Elimination of the risk of penalties for breaching statutory obligations, and of the related operational risks
  • Processes tailored to the specific operation, including the related statutory obligations and their ongoing updating
  • Access to the expertise of a corporate environmental manager, competent person and DGSA without the need to build and maintain in-house capacity

Working with us gives you not only the assurance that your business is environmentally responsible and safe, but also the oversight and the partnership that keep the entire agenda permanently under control.
